New hedgerow planted

In February and March 2025 volunteers of all ages came together to plant some new hedges in the gaps around the perimeter of the field. The hedges were funded by a grant from Campaign For Rural England (CPRE) and are all native hedge species. Hedgerows are crucial habitats for many insects including bees and butterflies and are an important food source for birds. This is an important project to help towards our aim of improving biodiversity in the park.
